New Year, New Beginning?

A new year induces one to take a different approach to one's routines with a hope of crossing the finish line with wealth of new experiences and a better outcome than the previous year's. Well, I'm induced.

There are several things I want to see happen this year:

First is to go to the gym a bit more than I have last year, and go on a routine basis, at least two or three times a week. Yet I want each of my gym visit to garner substantial results. A gripe I have is that muscles of a human male can generate a great amount of force and can hold a heavy load. And with exercise, the muscles are supposed to "grow" to unleash more force and to carry more load. Still somehow that "fact" doesn't seem to apply to me. Which leads me to think that either (1) my pain threshold is too low that a slight discomfort associated with exercise leads my brain to think that I'm experiencing excruciating pain, which stalls my muscles and freezes them from further movement, or (2) some part of my metabolic pathways is genetically flawed that certain feedback mechanisms that would signal cell growth are severely deficient. A possible solution for (1) is I can introduce an additional stimulus, different from the exercise one, thus conditioning my brain to take no notice of the "pain" associated with exercise. Weed could be a good, different stimulus. A possible solution for (2) is I think still a long way away. So, I'd like to test the first solution. Now, I just need to find a dealer.

Second is to learn how to dance. Yes, dance. Enough said.

Third is to sleep at an appropriate time to get sufficient amount of sleep. This means, I will go to bed at 2300 hour.

Uh oh, it's almost that time.

Nite, nite.
